This year, I went on my first international trip to a foreign country! Stepping into Japan it was confusing as the people spoke a different language. Few spoke English but it ended up being not too difficult to travel around.
With exploring traditional Japanese cuisine came stumbling across many amazing architectural sights around this country. Two of my favourite sites that really caught my eye were the Golden Pavilion and Fushimi Inari.
First up...
Kinkaku-ji (also known as Golden Pavilion)
This temple is situated in Northern Kyoto. When you hear Kyoto many think of this iconic site reflecting off the pond. The gold leaf covered temple is well worth the visit!

Secondly, the shrines...
Fushimi Inari is one of the many shrines with Tori gates placed at the entrance, symbolising the transition from mundane to sacred. These tower gates are a unique architectural feature dating back to 711 A.D.
